Getting connected to utilities for gas and plumbing for your VanHome is easy.
Connecting your VanHome to Sewer / Septic / Grey Water
Once a VanHome is installed you will need to contact a local plumber to connect the waste points of the VanHome to sewer/septic and greywater. As standard, we will have the waste pipes of the shower, kitchen sink, vanity and toilet sitting approximately 100mm beneath the underfloor of the VanHome. This allows your local plumber to connect to these waste points and run them to your sewer and grey-water lines.
NOTE: When your local plumber connects your VanHome up to sewer, please get them to re-check the waste connections. All of our Plumbing is tested prior to departing the factory, however, when your plumber connects up to our waste, the twisting and pulling can break a seal.
Water supply for your VanHome
To supply water to a VanHome we have a garden hose connection, which you simply click in your garden hose to. This will provide water-in for the entire VanHome.
Gas Appliances
If you have selected gas HWS or gas cooking appliances, you will need to do the following depending on what model you have purchased:
Standard Studio Model: No action required
Standard Single Expanding Model: No action required
Standard Double Expanding Model: You will need to get a licensed gas fitter plumber to connect up the gas lines.
Note: All gas work is completed and tested in our factory by a licensed gas fitter. However, due to the folding up procedure of the double expander, we must remove the gas lines for transport. This means that when we Install the VanHome you must get a local licensed gas fitter to reconnect the gas lines. Our installers are generally qualified builders, shop fitters, shipwright etc. so they aren't qualified to reconnect gas lines.
The most feasible option for this would be to ensure your plumber that is connecting up your waste points is also a licensed gas fitter. It should take your plumber approximately 30 minutes to reconnect the gas lines.
